Milena Nigam is a Pittsburgh-based writer. Her work has appeared in numerous literary journals, and she has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize in fiction. Milena is a nonfiction editor at the online journal, Halfway Down the Stairs, and she is currently seeking representation for her first novel and a short story collection. Prior to turning to writing full-time, Milena was the Director of Research and Evaluation at the University of Pittsburgh's Office of Child Development. Her training is in education and cognitive development, and she used to study how infants and young children develop early scientific knowledge.
