Steps 2 Connect
Helping families and caregivers support their lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ+) youth.

Parents and children don’t always see eye to eye and sometimes when adding in sexuality/gender identity or gender expression, conversations can be even more stressful.
Steps 2 Connect is a program to help youth and their caregivers work through conflicts and improve their relationships.
Once enrolled in Steps 2 Connect, a trained specialist will work with the family and supports to develop:

-
Improved communication techniques to help bridge gaps in understanding
-
Individualized, accessible, and culturally responsive services -
Increased knowledge, skills, and responsiveness for all involved
