9/19/2025 - Today, we’re set up at the Keeping Kids Safe Summit: A Summit on Physical and Psychological Safety Guards for Kids at the Sheraton Hotel in Station Square. This gathering brings together community partners, educators, health professionals, youth ministers, after-school staff, and so many others who are deeply invested in creating safe spaces for children and adolescents. The energy in the room is inspiring and it’s all about collaboration, co-learning, and strengthening the ways we support young people in our communities.

Our table is part of this mission. We’re connecting with agencies, school staff, and community leaders who are dedicated to building trusting, healthy relationships with kids. The summit emphasizes listening to lived experiences from those who work with youth every day, sharing successful program models that keep children safe, and strengthening the relationships that help kids build resilience and coping skills.

Participants are leaving today with new strategies to engage youth constructively in decision-making and accountability, as well as practical guidance to support families in fostering safety and well-being. They are also learning how to expand their networks, link resources, and create stronger systems of support between organizations, schools, and families.

Keeping kids safe, physically and emotionally, is not just a responsibility, it’s a community commitment. Today’s summit shows how powerful it is when we come together, share knowledge, and lift up the programs that are making a difference. We’re proud to be here with our vendor table, contributing to the conversation and connecting with others who care about the same mission. Together, we’re creating stronger, safer communities where kids can truly thrive.
