Fathers Involved Now (FIN) Supervisor:

AFN’s dynamic Fathers Involved Now (FIN) service is a father’s service that promotes partnership between the fathers who are raising children with behavioral challenges and the child-serving systems. FIN staff are fathers who understand the important role fathers play in their children’s lives.  They coach fathers, many of whom have not parented their children, to develop meaningful relationships with their children.  Events geared to provide fun and significant interactions between fathers and their children are planned throughout the year.  We are looking for a supervisor for this crucial part of our AFN services.

Under the direction of the Chief Services Officer, the FIN Supervisor will provide leadership and implement the path and means for fulfillment of AFN services missions. The Supervisor will have indirect reporting relationships with other partners. Duties include the general supervision and coaching of designated staff, services accountability and criteria adherence, and related administrative tasks.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in human services or a related field is strongly preferred. At least one year of experience in direct supervision of staff is required. Experience in working with families and communities on behalf of children with mental health issues is highly desirable. You must be or have been a parent/primary caregiver raising a child with mental health or emotional challenges.

Specific Position Requirements:

  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Publisher.

  • A valid PA driver’s license and reliable means of insured transportation are required. Must be able to travel locally, out of the county, and nationally as needed.

  • Available to work evenings and weekends as needed.

  • Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Act 33/34 Clearances and Federal clearances.

  • Ability to be trained in Family Peer Support models.
